With funding from the UNDP, the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad) and the Government of Cyprus, the Building No. 53 on Zeytun Street in the city of Vanadzor is being renovated and transformed into 25 separate apartments.
RA Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Arsen Torosyan, UNDP “Sustainable Communities” Programme Manager Arman Valesyan, and other partners visited the social housing facility under renovation in Vanadzor and reviewed the progress of the construction works. The project is being implemented by UNDP in Armenia within the framework of the “Armenia’s Refugee Response: Resilience for All Livelihood Support” project.
The building is being reorganized into 25 new apartments, each with a separate entrance, dining area, kitchen, and bathroom. Solar photovoltaic systems will also be installed on the roof, providing a source of green energy.
