Sweet House

Sweet House

“Sweet House” is a rural development initiative launched in 2022 to uplift small-scale agro-processing businesses, with a special focus on fruit- and vegetable-based sweets. The project targets families engaged in the artisanal production of dried fruits, jams, honey, sweets, and similar goods, supporting them in setting up super-small-scale processing units that meet hygienic and sanitary standards.

Inspired by the success of the “Gastro Yard” model—which has proven effective in promoting rural tourism through wine production and culinary experiences—“Sweet House” aims to empower local producers while fostering a recognizable regional brand. The initiative is designed not only to stimulate agricultural entrepreneurship but also to enhance the rural tourism offer by inviting visitors to explore sweet production, enjoy taste-testing sessions, and purchase directly from producers.

To participate, households must have a designated production area and the necessary equipment to ensure food safety compliance. By connecting tourism with local agro-processing, “Sweet House” helps cultivate vibrant community-based economies rooted in the region’s rich culinary heritage.
