Beneficiaries of the Nexus Goris and Nexus Kapan greenhouse projects have received seedlings and seeds tailored to the needs of their greenhouse business plans ahead of the agricultural season.
In 2025, the UNDP “Sustainable Communities” programme launched the Nexus Goris and Nexus Kapan initiatives. The Nexus model brings together the resources and opportunities of rural and urban communities, fostering cooperation and creating new economic opportunities. Beneficiaries have already been provided with modern 150-square-meter greenhouses as sustainable income-generating businesses.
Within the framework of the Nexus Greenhouse project, 13 beneficiaries from Kapan and 14 beneficiaries from Goris each received 450 seedlings. Depending on their greenhouse business plans, beneficiaries received a variety of seedlings, including tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, broccoli, and eggplants, as well as seeds for greens, zucchinis, and other crops (8 boxes of seeds per beneficiary).
The “Nexus Greenhouse” project is implemented by the UNDP “Sustainable Communities” programme with financial support from the Russian Federation.
