The renovated ambulatory clinic in the Ayntap settlement of the Masis community was visited by Ivana Živković, United Nations Assistant Secretary-General, UNDP Assistant Administrator and Director of the Regional Bureau for Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States (RBEC); Natia Natsvlishvili, UNDP Resident Representative in Armenia; Konstantin Sokulsky, Deputy Resident Representative; Anna Gyurjyan, Head of UNDP Socio-Economic Development Programmes; and Arman Valesyan, Head of the “Sustainable Communities” Programme.
On May 4, Ivana Živković arrived in Armenia at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to participate in the “Yerevan Dialogue 2026” international conference. During their visit, the guests toured the fully renovated Ayntap ambulatory clinic and familiarized themselves with the completed works.
The healthcare facility has been fully rehabilitated, furnished, and equipped with modern medical equipment. It has also been fitted with energy-efficient solutions, including solar panels and solar water heaters. The guests were welcomed by the Head of the Masis community, Norayr Hakobyan, who emphasized the importance of the project and its significance for local residents, noting that such initiatives contribute to improving the quality and accessibility of healthcare services.
The initiative was implemented within the framework of the UNDP project “Support to Displaced Persons from Nagorno-Karabakh and Host Communities in Armenia through Rehabilitation of Basic Infrastructure and Social Integration.” The project is funded by the Government of Japan and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme in Armenia. The operation of the renovated ambulatory clinic will significantly improve access to and the quality of primary healthcare services for residents of Ayntap and nearby villages, creating more comfortable conditions for both medical staff and citizens.
