A consultative meeting dedicated to the issues of refugees from Nagorno-Karabakh was held in the Vagharshapat community, bringing together representatives of local authorities, the private sector, and development partners to identify joint solutions to pressing social challenges.
The meeting was attended by the Head and experts of the UNDP “Sustainable Communities” Programme. The Mayor of Vagharshapat, Argishti Mekhakyan, highlighted the important role of UNDP in communities, noting the wide range of programmes implemented over the years and those that continue to make an impact.
During the meeting, Arman Valesyan, Head of the UNDP “Sustainable Communities” Programme, presented the programme’s upcoming initiatives and future plans, emphasizing the importance of active engagement, particularly for refugees from Nagorno-Karabakh. He also addressed participants’ questions, elaborating on the practical aspects of programme implementation and potential areas for cooperation.
