The UNDP “Sustainable Communities” programme, within the framework of the “Fruitful Garden” project, announces a training on the topic “Support to Horticulture.”
The three-day training will be conducted in two phases: 2 days of theoretical sessions and 1 day of practical training. Residents of all communities of Syunik region are eligible to participate. Applicants must be between 18 and 65 years old and permanently reside in Syunik region.
The project aims to support residents engaged in horticulture in the communities of Syunik region by enhancing their professional skills, improving garden productivity, increasing the quality and volume of yields, reducing losses, and promoting food security and economic resilience in rural communities.
The main topics of the three-day training will include: traditional and intensive horticulture, garden planning, selection of crops and varieties, soil preparation, irrigation and fertilization systems, pruning techniques, plant protection, as well as measures to mitigate and manage the impact of adverse weather conditions.
Participants who successfully complete both phases of the training and achieve high scores in the final assessment will receive agricultural tools.
The trainings will be organized in Syunik region.
Following the review and selection of applications, information on the training dates, venue, and time will be announced in the first week of May on the “Sustainable Communities” programme Facebook page.
