Within the framework of the UNDP “Sustainable Communities” programme, the “Fruitful Garden” project announces a training course on “Gardening.”

The training will be conducted in two phases, each lasting 2 days (maximum duration of each session: 4 hours). Residents of all communities of Vayots Dzor region are eligible to participate. Applicants must be between 18-65 years old and own a household garden, be engaged in, or planning to engage in horticulture.

The training will cover the following topics:

Phase 1

• Garden planning and planting

• Specifics of cultivation

• Organization of pruning

• Irrigation

Phase 2

• Pest and disease management

• Measures during seasonal and climatic adverse conditions

• Harvesting

Participants who successfully complete both phases and achieve high scores in the final exam will receive agricultural tools.

The trainings will be organized in Areni, Yeghegis, and Yeghegnadzor.
