The UNDP “Sustainable Communities” Programme’s HONEY-MONEY initiative for refugees from Nagorno-Karabakh living in the Kotayk, Ararat, and Armavir regions is organizing a three-day training course on “Fundamentals of Beekeeping.” The programme is implemented with financial support from the Government of France within the framework of Decentralized Cooperation.

Participants who fully attend the training (all three days) will take an exam upon completion and receive certificates. Based on the exam results, as well as an assessment of participants’ needs and capacities, UNDP will provide up to five Dadant-type PPU beehives in advance of the beekeeping season. Some beneficiaries will also receive beekeeping equipment and, during the beekeeping season, bee colonies.

Eligibility criteria:

• Individuals aged 18–65 who are de facto residing in the Kotayk, Ararat, and Armavir regions

• Only one applicant per family

• Availability of appropriate space to operate a beekeeping farm

• Commitment to place bee colonies in the provided beehives during the beekeeping season, starting from the moment the hives are provided, with each hive containing five frames covered with bees

• Willingness to comply with the mandatory requirements set by UNDP for operating and improving a beekeeping farm

ATTENTION: Individuals who do not fully attend the three-day training course and are absent will not be considered by the programme.

To participate in the programme, applicants must complete the application form at the bottom of the page by January 30 of this year, attaching the required documents. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
