HONEY-MONEY beekeeping development project comes to SYUNIK region

The “HONEY-MONEY” project of the UNDP “Sustainable Communities” programme for the residents of Kapan, Shikahogh, Srashen, and Chakaten communities in Syunik marz is conducting a two-day training course titled “Professional Development of Beekeepers.” Based on the results of this training, UNDP will provide a binary hive made of ППУ material.


Eligibility for the program:

  • Persons aged 18-65 who live permanently in Shikahogh, Srashen, or Chakaten settlements.
  • Only one person per family.
  • Those with a suitable area for beekeeping.
  • Individuals who commit to installing the beehive within the period specified by the contract, with 5 frames covered with bees in each hive.
  • Those willing to comply with the mandatory conditions presented by UNDP to manage and improve the apiary.

Ineligibility:

Persons who previously participated in the “Honey-Money” program and received a beehive but failed to fulfill the program’s requirements as prescribed or only partially fulfilled them.


List of mandatory documents:

  • An application, which can be downloaded at the bottom of the online application page by clicking the “Download file” button. You can also obtain a printed application from the local municipality hall or the administrative head’s office.
  • Copies of the passport and registration data pages of the passport or identification card.
  • A certificate confirming place of residence and refugee status.

You can obtain this information from the Municipality or the administrative head of your residence.

The application must be completed by hand, with all required documents attached. Incomplete applications will not be considered.


Important Dates:

  • To participate, you need to apply by September 5.
  • To register in advance, contact the administrative head of your residence.
  • The required documents should be handed over to the trainer on the first day of the course.

ATTENTION: Please note that individuals who do not fully participate in the two-day course will not be considered by the Program.


Venue:

The course will be held in the hall of the House of Culture in Shikahogh settlement on September 9 and 10, from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
